Saturday, 10th April 2010 - Who could easily forget my first trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with her and one of her best friend, Lisa. My second longest road trip and my first road trip to the south. I was anxious because I never been to Sabah before. But she was with me and I am so comfortable just by thinking of that. Like I said, this was my second longest road trip. My first one was to Gua Niah in Sarawak. But that was not that very hard compared to going to Sabah. Well, it took us almost 8 hours to arrived to our destination. We arrived safely almost at 6 pm and it was already dark. At first, we stop at Tanjung Aru Beach to get some meal before we arrived at her uncles home near that place.

Upon arriving, I do felt a bit nostalgic. My family came from Kampong Air and I miss the time when my grandparent was still alive. We used to stay for the night and it was so peaceful. But that was a few decade ago. Now I got the chance to be at a water village in Kampong Tanjung Aru and it felt so similar as Kampong Air.

Then the next day, we went to Pulau Manukan. This is the first time, I actually seen a blue and clear ocean. It was so cool even under the scorching sun. And you could see the fish swimming as if they were dancing in the water. There were a lot of tourist and I can tell that this is a very favorite destination for them. Then upon returning to the city, we went for shopping. Although a bit tired, I was very happy that I could spend the time with her at the most beautiful city in Borneo. Our first and most memorable trip with her.
