Introduction

Assalamualaikum and welcome to the official blog of Joerinah and Hafizul. 113 is the date that we are officially go out as a couple. So we took that number as our favorite number. Besides; it is the date of my mother's birthday. It was a very special day and I really cannot imagine that she accept my proposal on that day.

How we met

It was rather a twist of fate but I would like to thanks one of our closest friend, Suzy Sijom for matching me up with her. After series of fail relationship; I almost gave up on even having someone special in my life. But it was Ustaz Rudy who gave me the inspiration and gave me advice about not giving up in life. And I followed his word even as today. Alhamdulillah, I recovered slowly but surely.

Then before the mid of October, Suzy Sijom ask me if I could help her taking wedding pictures of her cousin, Liana. I hesitate at first but then I really do not know what moves me to agree in the first place. Finally I said 'Yes'. Then it was that fateful wedding event that I met Liana best of friend, Joerinah. Honestly; I did have a crush on her back then, hehe. But I didn't even has the courage to even talk to her as I am afraid if she was married or something. But she did ask me to take a few pictures of her and her two best friends, Liana and Lisa. That was the first time she ever spoken to me.

A few months later; I think it was end of the year of 2009 and early 2010, I ask Suzy Sijom again about Joerinah. Just to ask her whether Joerinah was married or not or anything. And she said that she is still single. At that time, I was excited that I wanted to make a move. And I did. After series of outing together with her and Suzy, exchanging text messages and chatting through MSN; I finally befriended with her. After few months after that, I finally propose to her.

Our Engagement

A year after my first proposal to Joerinah; we had plan ahead in getting engage. None of close friend and even my colleague (or former colleague) knew this as we plan the function to be simple. I had apply my leave for a week and after I went back to the office, my colleagues was surprised that I was already engaged. Even my former colleague at Yayasan (who I am still in contact through Facebook) was surprise. But nevertheless; I have deep gratitude to those who has congratulate me before. I guess getting engage was a bit different than I ever expected. Most people would scare me with stories about the challenges during the engagement period before marriage. Well I do not really care anyway. My only concern was that I am addicted to toys lately (which really hammers me down financially). But that does not affect our relationship at all. Alhamdulillah, a few more months it would be our wedding day and I hope that even after the wedding; we would be prepare to face more challenges together.
